Another busy year, packed full of  cash tournaments, Euchre and '500', plus Clubs NZ Euchre National and North Island tournaments - Euchre, '500' and Cribbage.

Our Auckland-Waikato Region Euchre Inter-Club competition, played in 2010 between nine clubs, resulted in a team win for NZ All Golds and a Singles win for Gerry Higham of Weymouth.  Some great games are enjoyed in this competition, held monthly and hosted by seven of the nine participating clubs.  Competition is keen, but there is a good comradeship enjoyed throughout the games.

The Roy Southey Memorial Tournament was held over 5/6 February, with Carlene Roberts of Papakura Club winning the event with 77 points.  Our own Marie Sullivan was only six points off the winning score.

The first inhouse tournament was on 13 February: winner Tiriti Tahiti with 37 points and Carol Hapi runner-up with 33 points.  Well done ladies.

On Sunday 27 March, Weymouth is hosting their annual Pre-Easter Euchre Cash Tournament.  Entry only $10 per person, with cash prizes, raffles and table prizes.  If it takes your fancy, wear your best Easter "bonnet".  You might just win a prize for the best hat.  All welcome.

On Sunday 15 May, Weymouth will host their annual '500" Cash Tournament - again only $10 per person entry fee, cash prizes, raffles and table prizes.  All welcome.
