Leon & Pete have stepped down this year,  thanks guys for all the work you put in over the last couple of seasons

Last Boat/Angler Points

To all members of the fishing section...this Saturday October 1st is the last competition for the year to receive boat/angler points (weather permitting)  These points go towards the end of year prizegiving which will be held on Saturday November 5th.  See attachment for details.
 
There is a great atmosphere at the club, with the Rugby, the league and hopefully some good fishing so we hope to see you there.

2011 Kahawai King results

2011 Kahawai King
 
At last we were actually able to go fishing...albeit pretty tough!
 
Thanks to all the anglers who purchased a ticket and a big thank to all our fabulous sponsors.  Thank you to the ladies who sold raffle tickets on the day, the guys who did the weigh in and our Fishing Section committee for all the work they put in to make it another successful competition.
 
We donated $2000 to South Auckland Health "KIDZ First" and $500 to the Papakura Coastguard.
 
Once again we gave out some great prizes and all the junior anglers seemed happy with their rods and other goodies. Well done to everyone...we hope to see you next year!!!

2011 Kahawai King Contest

Each year the Fishing Section run the Kahawai King Contest.  This year it will be held on Saturday 17th September,  is open to the public and costs $30 per angler to enter.
 
Thanks to our sponsors we have some great prizes on offer.  We have the band 'Strange Brew' booked for the night's entertainment.
 
Hopefully the weather will be kind to us so that some actual Kahawai can be caught, if not the prizes will be drawn from the ticket numbers.

Fishing Section

It's almost the end of our fishing section year which runs until the end of October...and we have finally entered something on this site...but better late than never!
 
The current section membership expires on the 31/10/11 and once again it will cost $10 to renew membership for 2012.
 
For any club member wishing to join the Fishing/Cheers section please see Steve Baggarley, Graham (Hoppy), Donna Rozeboom or the 'girls' selling the raffles on a Thursday night. 
 
We are a great section and you don't have to own a boat to join!!  There are a couple of members who would be more than happy to take you out fishing in one of our competitions which we hold monthly (weather permitting)...please check the noticeboard.
 
Each Thursday night we draw a number from our section membership numbers and if you are at the club you will win the amount in the kitty, if you are not present it jackpots to the following week.
 
We will endeavour to keep our site updated and will post the 2012 competition calendar once confirmed.
